I've also just paid my SMA. I paid £150, which had gone up this year from £125.
I'm inclined to agree it is a rip-off. I think all bugs should be fixed before
new bells and whistles are added. Now I'm retired and don't need JAWS for work,
I don't really have much use for all the new fancy things we are told JAWS can
do, but I just don't want to get behind.
I do generally find S&S very helpful with any problems I come across, so don't
resent the payment too much..

As to whether it's worth it, that's a moot point. Problem is if you don't
renew and try to skip a few updates, they really screw you.
As you've had Jaws almost as long as me, you'll remember the scam they pulled
in the early days, making you pay for Jaws 3.0, 3.2, 3.3, and 3.7 all in the
same year! At least it ain't that bad any more.

Why are they allowed to ramp up the price by twenty quid in a couple
of months, if it's £180 now, it should be £180 up to the next upgrade.

Well if NVDA continue to improve their product which is growing in
popularity, here's one person who will dump this total rip off very soon.
