Subject: [jaws-uk] Registery clening

My pc has been behaving eratically for a while, can't pinpoint the problem, for no apparent reason, it locks up. It takes a long time to boot up. I've checked what starts at start-up and can't see anything that shouldn't be there, although quite a lot of stuff that are there I don't know what aplication they belong to.
I suspect something is wrong in the registry, I downloaded the 2 utilities provided on the jfwlite page but can't decide which to use, Regscrub or regclean.
I have nobody here to help if anything goes wrong and the shops don't really want to help as my system is in English.
Which of these 2 program is totally reversible? if something goes wrong, will I be able to get at system restore?
Just a little reassurance from people who have used those progs many times without problems is all I need.

Thanks in advance,

Marie
