Alt V N does nothing. Under Popular in Optiions there is Allow Live Preview, but this is unchecked.

I wonder whether you've somehow managed to get  into reading layout mode
which Jaws can't cope with and jumps from page to page on each press of the 
up or down button?

Ihn Word 2003 there is an item under the General Options in the Tools menu
called something like "Allow Layout Reading mode" which should be unchecked. 
At a guess I would imagine it is somewhere under the Popular heading in
Options in Word 2007.

Also at a guess, I would have thought alt V + n should change the view to
normal.

I hope you manage to sort it out whether or not my guesses are correct.

The font is set to 14. When I press Insert F, I get no feedback as to font, 
style etc. And all the time JAWS keeps cutting out like there is something
running interfering with it.

Dear Barbara

As a suggestion why don't you highlight all of the document (control
and A) and then using shift, with control  and  P you can then adjust the
size of print accordingly.  You can just type 14 or use the shift  and tab
button to manually go up and down the list and then press enter I think to
activate this and come out and back to the text.

This I hope should then put all the text in the same size  and allow
you to navigate as normal.

I have typed quite a lengthy Word 2007 document, 23 pages
currently. When I arrow up and leave page 23 for example, JAWS jumps straigh 
to say page 20 and then to page say 17. If I fiddle about with the down
arrow and Control, eventually I get to the next page, but when I arrow up it 
all goes funny again. I have asked a sighted person and they say visually
they are seeing about five small pages of text with print so small they can 
not read it, although I have font set to 14 point.

I am using Word 2007, XP Pro and JAWS nine and I think some
Word setting has got changed but I can't figure out what.

Any help?
