Hallo Kevin I only have 1 meg on both, the laptop came with 256 and Desktop with 512 so I bought more, what pussles me is that looking at quotes for equipment I found and scanned, dated about2000 I see this amount was standard, what is it we are all using now so much that gets greedier for resources? Will Jaws 10 need more Ram than 9? I'd go for a machine with at least 2-3 GB of RAM. I run Jaws 10 on a Toshiba laptop (2GB of RAM) and a HP desktop (3GB) of RAM), at first I had just 1GB on the laptop which caused frequent crashes and the machine running slow that is until I added another gig. Hope this helps, Kevin On 05/11/2008, Ken Reid <ken.reid@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:All, I am about to buy a new PC, which will mean venturing in to Vista for the first time. I have Jaws version 9 at present, and will shortly upgrade to 10, and think it is the Professional version, so understand I can buy any version of Vista. However, is there a way I can confirm I have Jaws Professional? As an aside, any hints and tips in what technical specification I should look for, or avoid in my new machine?
