Hi phill,
I have tried the above suggestions - I can access the task manager just
fine when kaspersky anti virus is not loaded. The problem only arises when
kaspersky is loaded.
When kaspersky is loaded and I go into task manager, speech seeses.

Hi Ryan,
When I launch the task manager, JawsKey+q tells me that it is using the Jaws
default settings.
I wonder if your settings are being left in some other state.
A couple of things to try follow:
Try maximising the task manager window;
Try switching to the desktop and then back again to the task manager window;
Refresh the screen using JawsKey+escape.

I have a question (or, should I say, a problem) regarding jaws for windows
8.0 and kaspersky anti-virus 6.0 (this is the virus software supplied with
my pc).
When kaspersky is loaded, jaws will not speak in the windows task manager
(control alt del).
I have tested other products such as system access, and there is no problem
with these other products accessing task manager while kaspersky anti virus
is loaded.
Is there a fix for this, and is it to do with the jaws video intercept
driver and/or dcm?
I am using jaws 8.0.2173u
