Hi Graham,I use tables a lot and can't say that I ever noticed whether the cell or headings were spoken first, but yes, I agree that having the choice is useful.

Hi David. I am also pleased to note that when in a table in Microsoft Word, JAWSspeaks the column and row coordinates after the contents of the cell which I think is better. I actually think that this should be a choice the user can make i.e. to have contents first, row and column first or no row and columnat all. I also think that if you set row and column titles to be read in word orExcel, the user should be able to choose whether the column heading is read first or whether the contents of the cell is read first.
