I have JAWS 6 and Word 2003, and it seems to work ok, although now I am
retired I don't use it for anything too complicated. However, I was also
working in the NHS, and I was using JAWS 5, which seemed ok too. Sometimes I
notice that when you are trying to read a file line by line it starts just
saying blank, blank, but if you do alt v for the view menu and make sure normal
is checked it seems to sort itself. If normal is spoken without the word
checked, just press enter and that checks it on.

  Subject: [jaws-uk] JAWS 6.2 and Word 2003

  Hi all,

can anyone tell me how well JAWS 6.2 works with Word 2003? The NHS trust my
wife works for is upgrading to 2003 and whilst she will ultimately upgrade to
Jaws v8 she may have to live with 6.2 for a little while.

i spoke to S and S this morning and they said it would work but I have a
vague recollection of some traffic on this list some time ago about 2003 issues
with earlier versions of Jaws.

  thanks

  Gary
