Hallo again I am glad to see the further information because the last
updates I had were on the second Wednesday in the month, the World Service I
heard in early morning gave it headlines in News but I heard nothing on
radio 4, and yes it did say Internet Explorer it was in the very early
morning, before Shipping forecast

Tristram,

I've just tried to follow your advice of updating immediately but when I
went into Internet Explorer and clicked on Windows Update I was taken to
an
Error Report page as soon as I got onto the Microsoft site.

I'm using IE 7, Windows XP and JAWS 9.

Without too much unnecessary hyperbole this is an update that all IE7
users should take their browsers to Windows Update for straight away
rather than wait for MS to puch it out to you. If you need or want to
know which update it is then it is called "Security Update for Internet
Explorer 7 for Windows XP (KB960714)".

The update closes down a recently discovered zero day remote code
execution attack vulnerability. It has been thought such a priority by
Microsoft that they have issued an out of cycle patch for it, which is
only the second time in 18 months this has occurred.

You can activate windows update by pulling down theh "Tools" menu and
selecting "windows Update" from within Internet Explorer.

Regards.
