she needs to be running JAWS 7.1 or later. If not then she should uninstall
Internet Explorer and version 6 should be available again.

I feel that this may have already been discussed, if it has, then my
apologies for bringing it up, but a friend of mine was asking advice on
using IE7 with Jaws. IE7 has just been installed on her machine, and her
version of Jaws is not responding as it should (I'm afraid I'm not that
conversant with Jaws to give a more technical explanation).
Does anybody have any help or advice I can pass on?
