Hi Kevin, to add to what others have said, you also need a sound card that allows live audio to be recorded. If you've got a separate sound card in the machine, that should be fine. If your sound is integrated on the mother bord, you may have some probs. I have realtech here and had hell of a problems trying to set it up. I needed a sighted mate eventually. Audacity is fine and there is also a very simple prog called, mp3 direct cut that takes a couple of secs to set up is free and fine for simple recording. So, welcome to the list Kevin, and ask away! Amro has already suggested a couple of programmes that have a good reputation. Another one I've heard mention of is Audacity. I've not used it myself, but the website is here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ There is also an email discussion list for people interested in all kinds of audio stuff. It's called Blind Audio. You can subscribe by sending an email to <mailto:blindaudio-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> blindaudio-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx You should find plenty of advice and help there too. What I want to know is can I record radio shows off the internet? If yes what do I need? Cheers Kevin
