Hi John,
What kind of keyboard are you using? On my standard full size keyboard there
are two Insert keys, one of which is less than two inches from the F12 (it's
the top left in the group of six above the arrow keys). I wonder if you're
using the one on the numberpad, and that's why you're finding it difficult.
With insert mode on and pressing the keys individually, I can only do it by
pressing Insert, F12, Insert, F12 very quickly.

John, Its a bit awkward but find your way to F12 with your forefinger, then use
your thumb to hold down the insert key and keep tapping F12

Thanks for your reply. I was wondering how to speak the date with just one
hand. In other words, how to press Ins, F12, and F12 again sequentially.
There is no way to lock the Ins key for the second press of F12. This is my
problem.
