Hi Barbara and all,
I've long been contemplating moving up from Office 2000 to 2003. Would I
have to remove 2000 first and, if not, would things like my Outlook address
book be preserved?

Cheers

Colin

Hi Val

I have loaded MS Office several times myself. Basically it runs as soon as
you put in the CD but you will need to enter a serial number. I think there
are usually about 25 numbers somewhere in the packaging of the discs and
usually five go into each edit box. You will automatically be moved to the
next edit box once the allocated number are typed into the last one. It's
not difficult really, give it a go it won't do any harm.

A friend has MS Word (2000, I think) installed on her machine.
Unfortunately (and how it happened I know not) the spell check facility is
not there. How difficult would it be for me as a non-sighted person to
perhaps install MS Office on her machine, which, hopefully, will give her
the spell check facility.

I usually leave that sort of thing to my son but he isn't going to be able
to get across to my friend.

As my only experience of loading programmes (tongue in cheek) I have had is
installing JAWS and Kurzweil, you can see my problem.

Any help, suggestions or whatever would be appreciated.

Regards

Val.
