I second that statement. I have read the print version of the article, and frankly in my view, it doesn't really offer anything spectacular. And as you also rightly point out, accessibility is at best suspect. Windows defrag is not the best, pretty well all of us know that. But it does work. I think also that Computer Active is perhaps taking a bit of an editorial liberty in saying, "O&O Diskimage provides the essential backup program that is missing from Windows XP". Windows XP does have a backup program, it's just that Microsoft decided not to install it my default in XP Home. They also don't quite make clear the difference between making a disk drive image, and a selective backup. If you take an image of a complete drive, and three weeks later restore that image, your system is quite literally put back as it was three weeks ago. Finally, I'm general a shade cautious about totally free utilities like these. Perhaps it's the businessman in me coming out, but I always wonder why, if they are do good, they are free? But then, I'm just an old cynic.
