I had an Email in from Andrew who has the same darned model and it says " I
share you pain with the laptop and he will tell you it isn't as simple as
a toggle. Tell me does your Toshiba make a sizzle sound on the keyboard a
bit like frying bacon?? Believe George had it been that simple I would
told you I have given the notes on the alpt to a person to read on tape
and fact have it back but it sounds as if that Key marked Fn is a
combination key, using a full keyboard plugged in as I have been doing down
as send some messages to the computer but not all messages.. In any case if
you George wanted to disable yours or stop it muting how would you could
you do it? Dorothy Ps I can confirm that the ThinkPad from Lenova does send
the correct message to the computer. so if you are using Kurzweil for e.g.
you have in shifted position a goodmanykeys in one little neat keypad. I
was stupid enough to think Toshibas own would do it dnot.hay
