OK have looked at my autoplay settings. When I put a CD in the drive I'm
still getting the same dialogue box which I can't find access to.

HiSue,
A couple of things.
1: in the start search box, windows key, type autoplay settings. Open the
first result. Tab and you'll get options for your various removeable
devices. On the cd drive, I've got open folder to view files.
Another thing to try.
Open the pc using this pc key, windows E. Arrow down to the drive you want
to operate. Then press shiftF10. That brings up a context menu that you can
explore.
