Marie
To get rid of the automatic numbering, select the entire document using Control
a, press the Applications key, tab to Bullets and Numbering and press enter.
In the displayed dialog, press backtab until you hear 'None' announced, then
press enter. You should be put back into your document and the numbers should
have gone.

Cheers
Chris

Subject: [jaws-uk] Deleting with jfw in Word

I am trying to write a document with several sections and sub-sections.
I was first surprised then annoyed when Word put numbers and letters for me
every time I changed line. With help from someone on the access list, I
managed to turn off the automatic numbering off. Now, I've come back to my
document to edit it and get rid of the letters and numbers I do not want and
find that I cannot delete them
Jfw reads them, I can see them on the braille display but when I place the
cursor on them, the next character gets deleted, not the number of letter
placed automatically by Word I want to get rid of. The window is maximized
of course. What's going on? Does this mean those letters and numbers are
graphics? Do I have to retype the entire document? Can someone explain
please? I'm puzzled.

Marie.
