Hi Angela, might be of no use but have you accidentally turned off your Jaws Virtual Curser by mistake? This is a toggle keystroke and it can be performed by the Jaws key plus the letter Z for Zebra. Give it a try if you haven't already but NOTE! Remember to turn it back on after because otherwise you won't be able to read the screen properly without it turned on again. I don't know the technical reason for this but thats what I know about that funtion. I use it alot in windows Live Mail 2009 when replying to a message otherwise jaws for some crazy reason loses focus and puts me where ever it feels like. I don't know how it will work with Outlook because I have never used that programme but it might be worth a shot. Let us know how you get on. Another thing could it be your screen resolution? I'll leave someone else to chine in on that topic because I don't know much about it. Just trying to think of other ways to help you out! Hope the problem is resolved soon! -------------------------------------------------- From: "Angela" <purlla_music@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, July 13, 2011 2:58 PM To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [jaws-uk] Arrow keys in messages. > Content-Type: text/plain; > charset="US-ASCII" > Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit > Hi. > > > > I'm currently having an issue with using the arrow keys in open messages. > > > > Jaws doesn't read anything in an open message, other than "blank" when > pressing the backspace and enter keys. > > > > The only way I'm able to read my emails is via the jaws cursor, but I then > have to go back to the pc cursor in order to reply etc. > > > > Any help would be most welcome! > > > > For information, I'm using jaws 12 and outlook. > > > > Thanks, > > > > Angela Purll > > Mobile: (+44) (0) 7717 186 435 > > Email: > > purlla_music@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > Websites: > > www.purlla.com > > www.fluteandorgan.com > > Skype Name: Angela.Purll > > Angela 2 > > > > > > > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] > ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: > ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ** and in the Subject line type > ** unsubscribe > ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the > ** immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] > ** or send a message, to > ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
