Amie, I don't know whether they're still running it or not, but I had exactly the same thought that it had been axed. Are they still running the RNCB course? I had a notion it was axed a while back. Probably I'm way off beam though; will be interested to learn. Hi Amie and Gary, Thanks for your feedback on this. I'll try to get in touch with someone at RNCB later. If anyone has personal knowledge of trying to use ProTools with Jaws and has an opinion I'd love to hear from you. Also if you know of any email lists for this specific subject, please pass on the details of how to subscribe. Thanks, Jamie From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Amie Slavin Sent: 21 November 2012 20:41 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Any opinions one way or other? Sorry; I use SoundForge for editing, mainly, on PCs. PC options seem more flexible but all the colleges use ProTools. I'd also be interested in hearing about peoples' experience of it with JAWS (does JAWS work with it at all?) Audio production software is an access nightmare in my experience! I'm a technophobic digital Sound Artist however :o) Sorry not to be more help. Hi all, I have a client who is wanting to get opinions from Jaws users and others about the use of audio editing software called ProTools. He has been told different things from different people. Essentially he wants to know if Jaws on a Windows platform with ProTools will work better or worse than ProTools on a Mac platform working with VoiceOver? Anyone got an opinion one way or other?? Also, as this is probably more appropriate for an audio list, does anyone know of such a list for screen reader users and how to sign up to it?
