Not an answer, Paul, but they always have made it difficult to find the free
version.
Perhaps you'd consider changing to Microsoft Security Essentials. It's free
and I've heard no bad word about it.

Hi all,
I am using JAWS 12, with windoes XP.
Since 2004, I have been using AVG on my computer.
Generally this is fine but in recent years, wehn it's needed upgrading, I
have found it a little tricky to cary out the upgrade.
As my AVG is I am sure out of date, could someone please tel me how I update
it.
I have had several update messages come up but can't seem to do it properly.
Now, having asked that, I have also been thinking of changing to another
antivirus programme, as I have found AVG can slow my PC down and I have
heard other people say the same thing.
So, if I were to change antivirus software, could someone please advise on a
good programme to use. One which is JAWS friendly and also doesn't slow
down the PC.
