Harry,
You are using the wrong command. Use "next word" instead of "speak next
word". The "speak next word" as the command name implies only speaks the
next word. It does not move to it.

Hi all,
I've just been working with chapter 2 in the manual, and I have to say I'm
not very impressed with the correction process.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I tried to move word by word in a sentence, by saying speak next word,
sometimes it did, sometimes it did not.
Is anybody else having this problem?
