I'm sure i've used remote Jaws with the Pac Mate and it worked fine. I made
sure, though, that i did not let Jaws use the Pac Mate serial number as its
authorisation. I can't try it now as my Pac Mate is broken.

Quite possibly because if I recall the pac mate generates a different jaws
serial which is how you officially can use it with the jaws demo. I will
look at this in the next couple of days and get back to you.

Dear Brian,

I connect my Pacmate through a USB connecction. When I press F9 key in my
desktop machine, I don't hear echo status message. Do I have to purchase
J-Say with pacmate serial number for me to hear the device transmit desktop
information.

Regards,
Hema.

Hi Hema

I don't see why you could not use Pac Mate desktop now. It is, put simply,
a transmitter for JAWS run using Active Sync from a computer. You would need
to have a Bluetooth or wireless headset/microphone in order for the computer
to accept voice input, but if you wanted to use Pac Mate desktop I cannot
see why you couldn't.

In terms of a J-Say for the Pac Mate itself, if there was a version of
dragon for Pocket PC I am sure it could be achieved without difficulty.

Dear Brian and all,

I have one more item to ad to the wish list:

It will be good to have remote JAWS enabled to work with J-Say.

Regards,
Hema.
