Dear Brian, I connect my Pacmate through a USB connecction. When I press F9 key in my desktop machine, I don't hear echo status message. Do I have to purchase J-Say with pacmate serial number for me to hear the device transmit desktop information. Regards, Hema. It is, put simply, a transmitter for JAWS run using Active Sync from a computer. You would need to have a Bluetooth or wireless headset/microphone in order for the computer to accept voice input, but if you wanted to use Pac Mate desktop I cannot see why you couldn't. In terms of a J-Say for the Pac Mate itself, if there was a version of dragon for Pocket PC I am sure it could be achieved without difficulty.
