The problem as has been pointed out to ROL repeatedly for the past 4.5
years is totally at the Risc PC end. It is the Risc PC which failing due
running out of MBufs because it cannot handle the number of UDP packets
that arrive between 1cs event periods. A number of solutions could have be
implemented at the Risc PC end, but they were just not interested as it
only affected Castle machines (initially, now the A9 and VRPC can also be
affected), they now have no remaining engineers of the calibre required to
be able to fix this.
