Hi John,
First, thank you so much for emailing me direct as well as posting on 
here - that made it so much more personal for me.
Second, I've removed Interim and LoadUSB2 permanently, as you advised. 
I've also 'shifted' !Uniprint elsewhere and re-booted. No improvement 
I'm afraid, still getting the UniServeFS not recognised error message 
on bootup.
Third, bless you for the advice about clicking on Configure.!Run -at 
least my screen looks normal now - and I can change it via Display 
Manager.
