I can't help feeling that this is probably a FAQ, but I can't find the answer on the list or on the website. I'll be looking at an Iyonix at the weekend which the owner has been struggling to register and update. I believe that the ROM is currently at RISC OS 5.09 and, for various reasons, I'm not that enthusiastic about reflashing it. So: 1) Are there any real benefits to a non-technical user in updating 5.09 to 5.11? Any improvements would need to outweigh the chance of breaking things during the re-flash and/or introducing pyjamas. It doesn't help that I can't actually remember what the changes were from 5.09 to 5.10. 2) If the machine stays at 5.09, what is the latest disc update that should be applied? I can get a list of what supersedes what from the website, but it doesn't seem to list what ROM versions are required for each. 3) The machine was bought at last year's Wakefield show. Is it possible to give any idea what the first disc update to apply would be (from the dates, I would guess 48)?
