Jim there are several error messages in the event viewer on the isa box
2 particular ones that I think apply to problem

Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. Check the
event log for possible messages previously logged by the policy engine
that describes the reason for this.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at

Windows cannot find the machine account, No authority could be contacted
for authentication. .

I think the computer was a domain member already when isa 2004 was
installed. Jim

Was ISA a domain member when it was created or did you join it later?
What erros do you find in the event logs?

Having trouble logging on to my vpn connection, error message 691 user
name invald on the domain. It seems that when I try to add users or
groups with the mmc for 04 its having trouble contacting my DC. The only
way I can login is to authenticate on the isa machine itself ie. (
server-name\user and then I can login. The isa 2004 server is a member
of the domain.

Thanks can anyone help Jim
