I did make the registry change.
And I am still getting all the dialog boxes as before.
Is there any way of testing that the kotfix has installed ok?
I am thinking that maybe the hotfix has not installed successfully.

What steps did you take when installing and setting up isa?

Bill.

Have you also created the registry entry as stated in the article? That's
critical to the behavior change.
Just as you did, I told the outgoing web listener to "ask unauthenticated
users" and created user-based rules.

Two step resolution:

Read Q297324 (once the MS KB site comes back)
Grab ishf68 from the link on isaserver.org

I had the same problem whe I started using user auth to restrict site access
and this fixes it.

Hi there,

I have set up authenticated access so that external users can use my proxy
but have to authenticate first.
I have checked the "ask unauthenticated users for identification" and keep
getting multiple authentication
dialogs on the client.

Can someone please clarify what stps have to be taken to set up
authenticated access for ISA Server.

regards,

Bill.
