Hi BS,

If this is a hotmail access problem using Outlook Express, the
application uses HTTP/HTTPS, not SMTP/POP3. There is a MS Q article on
how to fix the authentication problem with ISA and OE.

This error says that  the client cannot authenticate
with ISA serve.....but HOW ?????
and what u said abt client address set.....I am using 
..DCHP ...
i am amusez how the client cannot authenticate with
ISA server whn the same client is authenticate to use
ISA server through active directory and every other
things are working fine
