I am having the same problem. Did you get any response yet? -----Original Message----- From: Tony Birch [mailto:tbirch@xxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, January 08, 2002 9:42 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] browser does not connect/security lock out http://www.ISAserver.org I am using 2000 Advanced Server and the Enterprise ISA server. The machine is a Domain Controller and has an ADSL card for direct access to the internet. I installed ISA and went through the opening wizard. I made no changes to the defaults, except that I added administrator as a user with access to anything from any machine. The defaults, as I see it, leave everything open. Rules for "all open" were already in place and enabled. In this configuration I was able to ping www.yahoo.com by name and by IP, but the browser (on the same machine) would not find the page. The LAN settings were set to use the proxy (192.168.0.1, which is the inside address of this machine. Port was set to 8080 or 80 -- neither worked.) I then went through the wizard again and this time set the security settings. I used the setting for Domain Controller. I also went through the procedure given in Tom Shinder's GETTING STARTED WITH ISA SERVER on this web site -- just to make sure everything was open. Now I can't even connect to the internet at all. I get an error from my ISP that says my "user name or password is incorrect for the domain". I had similar problems with NAT in trying to connect to my ISP. Is it my ISP that is somehow detecting that I am trying to use address translation, or is it some setting in ISA?
