Hi Ron, IIRC, the janitor program doesn't work with Integrated authentication, and there's no mechanism to allow it to enter credentials "on the fly" to support basic auth. Does that sound right to you? Thanks! When anonymous access is allowed, the users have no problem connecting to the database (after the proper port(s) were opened). As soon as I force authentication by allowing web proxy clients only, access to the database fails with INTEGRATED authentication selected. If basic is selected, the user is prompted once with a dialog box when launching IE, and once when trying to access the oracle database which does work. The oracle client uses a program called jinitiator 1.1.7.27 which has proxy settings in the control panel that the program uses for configuration. This makes no sense to me, but I do not know much, if anything about Oracle. Anyone have a clue? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org/ Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
