http://www.ISAserver.org ------------------------------------------------------- Nope; you understand incorrectly. You can disconnect the HTTP Filter from the HTTP protocol and lose the web proxy service altogether. ..of course, this means you also lose the best part of ISA HTTP functionality. -----Original Message----- From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ara Avvali Sent: Monday, May 29, 2006 9:34 PM To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Transparent Proxy Hi Everyone, As far I know and understand, doing so is not possible with ISA server, right? You can't force/deploy ISA server without touching clients otherwise they can't browse the net. According to this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proxy_server in transparent mode, all nat requests are routed to proxy which opposed in ISA you have to setup IE or deploy firewall client. Any clarification is much appreciated. All mail to and from this domain is GFI-scanned. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: //www.freelists.org/archives/isalist/ ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server Articles and Tutorials: http://www.isaserver.org/articles_tutorials/ ISA Server Blogs: http://blogs.isaserver.org/ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe visit http://www.isaserver.org/pages/isalist.asp Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
