Hi, have a look at www.isaserver.org . In the learning zone there is a serie of 3 articles about the ISA client. ISA supports 3 types of clients: - Web Proxy client: browser must be configured to use the web proxy service of ISA. - Firewall client: browser must not be configured to use the proxy, but you have to install the firewall client software. - SecureNAT client: browser must not be configured to use the proxy. The Firewall and SecureNAT client can only use the web proxy 'transparently' if the HTTP redirector on ISA is configured to send the request to the web proxy service (default behaviour). Now, if you don't want *any* change in configuration on the client, then only SecureNAT client is possible. However, with SecureNAT client you loose some functionality. The most important one is that you cann't do access control on the basis of users/groups. Hope this helps, Stefaan -----Original Message----- From: Bogdan Florin [mailto:florinb@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: zaterdag 12 januari 2002 21:52 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Transparent Proxy http://www.ISAserver.org do not set anywhere on client machine that YOU USE A PROXY ! or course. -----Original Message----- From: "Stefaan Pouseele" <stefaan.pouseele@xxxxxxx> To: "[ISAserver.org Discussion List]" <isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat, 12 Jan 2002 17:50:04 +0100 Subject: [isalist] RE: Transparent Proxy > http://www.ISAserver.org > > > > This is a multi-part message in MIME format. > ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: stefaan.pouseele@xxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
