And there goes all the nice integrated features of the Enterprise installation........... No array.. No saving of configuration in AD.... And so on If you wanted to recommend something why not installing it in its own forest, make a one way trust relationship to the production environment. I haven't been here for long, but from the question that Ariel asked I can't see if he has a W2000 domain or a WNT 4.0 domain, in the latter he has two options: 1. as a domain controller in its own forest. This gives you a Enterprise installation. 2. as a member server in the WNT domain. Or stand Alone (no user rules....). This gives you no Enterprise installation. If he had a W2000 domain he could use all of the above + as a member in the production forest. Which gives you the ability to perform a Enterprise installation Thomas Rath MCSE Instructor NDS System Administrator MCP, MCP+I, MCSE, MCSE+I -----Opprinnelig melding----- Fra: Gabriel Zabal [mailto:gabriel@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sendt: 23. juli 2001 20:58 Til: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Emne: [isalist] RE: ISA installation http://www.ISAserver.org It doesn´t mather the order. I recomend to install it as a stand alone server. You will compromise your security a lot if you join it to your domain. Does installing ISA as its on work-group, different from the LAN domain, adds for security?
