Yes, ISA will have issues when you rename the server and when you change IPs, and you're right; cache mode is LAT-less. Officially, ISA doesn't support renaming the machine, but there may be recovery methods available to you. Is this to be a standalone server or array member? That fact will determine you recovery possibilities. The time has come for the machine to go live, and to do this, I need to Rename it (new computer/dns name) and give it a new Ip address. ISA is installed in Cache mode.. The machine has only one interface.. and routes all requests to an upstream machine (after checking its cache first) So, I am hoping that I dont have to worry about the LAT (local address table), as the machine is not a firewall. SO,, Does anyone know if ISA will have problems when I rename the server. Is it likely to die?? Any advice?
