Publishing Exchange 2000 through ISA - Recommended?

Hi,

We have a requirement from a client to have Outlook XP connectivity through to the Exchange Server (because he'd like to sync his PDA). I see that the mail publishing wizard had the ability to publish Outlook access - is this recommended? Of course we will be using Outlook Encryption.... comments? recommendations appreciated!
