The ISA 2000 Web Proxy only supports HTTP(s), FTP and Gopher. The ISA 2004 Web Proxy drops Gopher. To use any other protocol, you MUST use either SecureNAT or Firewall Clients. This is all discussed in the ISA help. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Juan [mailto:gerenciaasp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, July 28, 2005 09:12 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Protocol definitions and rules are not working properly... http://www.ISAserver.org I have install the windows 2000 server (updated with SPK4) and the ISA Server 2000. The ISA was install to the PC as a stand alone server. All clients have access to internet and they surf as a web proxy clients. The problem have appeared when they try to use programs which required especific open ports(like the camera with yahoo messanger 5100 inbound and outbound). I created the protocols, applied them and restat the Wproxy service but the applications wich use that created protocols still not working. I haven't set restrictions (there is no site or content restriction) and remember that the user can surf. What could i be missing? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx All mail to and from this domain is GFI-scanned.
