Jim is right-- you'll never get direct connections from other SMTP
servers... But, if you have a friend somewhere running IIS who doesn't mind
the bandwidth, you can set your MX record to deliver to his/her IIS SMTP
service, and have him configure his/her SMTP delivery to use a smart host at
your IP after setting the outbound connections to use TCP26. That way, his
SMTP service will grab all the messages on 25, but send them to you on 26.

No.. no.. no.. yourself. You'll never receive a single piece of mail while you're using TCP:26. If you want to receive mail from Internet servers, you'll have to either get a different ISP or buy a business service from them.

No...No no no... My ISP is blocking port 25 and preventing me from sending and receiving email from my exchange server. So I'm trying to figure a way to get around this. I've managed it to get to where I can send mail but I can't get anything coming in. One option was to configure the exchange server to accept traffic on port 26, which I'v done by adding that port to the default smtp virtual server. I now need to open port 26 on the isa server and map it to the exchange server. I tried to do this by going to my published smtp rule and specifying it in the traffic port settings as follows: Publish on this port instead...: 26 Send requests to the default...
This didn't seem to work. So I'm trynig to figure if I'm doing something wrong or something that's not possible in ISA?
thnks
