Hi Wayne, ISA by itself doesn't help regulate the downloading or hot tracking of images. A technique that I use is to keep the image located within my CSS file. When you right click on that type of image it will show you no file size Available for download at all. And, I believe that it won't download into the users cache Actually with some simple surfing you should have been able to find these types of links: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=how+to+prevent+image+linking+on +web+site+and+asp Thank you, Joseph _____ From: Wayne Berry [mailto:wayne@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, January 28, 2005 10:25 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Photo Leaching http://www.ISAserver.org ISAList: From time to time, I have wised that I had a tool to prevent Blogs, eBay, and other unscrupulous web sites from using my web site images while allowing patrons of my web site to see those images. I know anyone can copy images off my web site, however what I want is not to have to pay for the bandwidth of serving those images for someone's site where they are linking them inside their pages. I know that I can program something like this, however does ISA server have this kind of setting for HTTP traffic. Basically (The Setting/Filter) would determine if the response is an image and return 404 is the Refferrer request header is not from the same domain as the host header for the image request. So: 1) Anyone else think that this is a good idea? 2) Is there a free tool, ISA Setting, or has someone else programmed this type of thing? -Wayne ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: josephk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
