To Mark : I gotta agree. To cdawkins : if you are going to post something from another list then say so at the start, you have simply cut and pasted the entire article into a new message with no reference whatsoever as to where it was "lifted" from, that’s pretty bad form, and asking for trouble from a number of viewpoints, one of which is copyright. On a different subject, someone asked a while back if this list was available as a newsgroup, this list uses the Lyris list software which has in built support for NNTP, there is in fact an NNTP server (Lyris) at www.webelists.com but no isa list there, all this takes is for the admin of the list to make it available as a newsgroup, it is a great way to read the archives and the articles can be downloaded locally for reference and searching. I've seen many a post that comes with smilies, and much of them were not intended to be humourous for a start. And sorry to say, your post missed even the slightest (at least explicit) sign of forwarding. No FW, no quotes, you know all that fancy stuff. So apart from guessing and searching the archives, what could tell us that this was not a provocative post, possibly posted under a false indentity? Think about that then ;-) > -----Original Message----- > From: cdawkins [mailto:cdawkins@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Posted At: Saturday, > January 03, 2004 7:13 AM Posted To: www.isaserver.org > Conversation: [isalist] RE: Ot:So Tom..Whats its like being an > employee of GFI ? :) > Subject: [isalist] RE: Ot:So Tom..Whats its like being an employee of > GFI ? :) > > > http://www.ISAserver.org > > Errr guys > > Didnt anyone see the smiley on the subject or was it too subtle for > you ? > I dont work for the guys who wrote this I simply subscribe to their > newsletter.
