Esp for HIPAA. SOX and other regulated environments. I'm considering three factor auth as a requirement. The govt is hungry for cash, and non-repudiation is going to be key. I figure that users should have to enter a password, insert a card, and then a fingerprint. With that, I think we could beat not only criminal charges, but even civil cases, which have a much lower level burden of proof.
