First problem. My access control software for category based browning is dead. Don't know what will happen with GFI. Any body got issues with 3rd party tools? ________________________________ From: Thomas W Shinder [mailto:tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, March 01, 2005 9:37 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Download details: ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition SP1 http://www.ISAserver.org Test it out and let us know. I'm trying to figure out Firewall chaining in SP1 now. Been going at it 6 hours now. :( Tom www.isaserver.org/shinder <http://www.isaserver.org/shinder> Tom and Deb Shinder's Configuring ISA Server 2004 http://tinyurl.com/3xqb7 <http://tinyurl.com/3xqb7> MVP -- ISA Firewalls ________________________________ From: Ara [mailto:ara@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, March 01, 2005 11:35 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Download details: ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition SP1 http://www.ISAserver.org Let's see if someone got an answer ________________________________ From: Ball, Dan [mailto:DBall@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, March 01, 2005 5:58 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Download details: ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition SP1 http://www.ISAserver.org Same here, the readme says this about it: 1. ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition Service Pack 1 consists of two components: one to update the ISA Server computer, and the other to update computers running ISA Server 2004 Firewall Client software. To update Firewall client computers, do one of the following: * Install the Firewall Client update included in the service pack download on each client computer. * Update Firewall client computers from the Firewall Client Share on the ISA Server computer. You can do this by one or two methods: * Run the Update.bat script located in the Firewall Client Share (usually \\ISA\Mspclnt\Webinst\Update.bat). * Run the msiexec command in the Firewall Client Share, as follows. At the command prompt, type: msiexec /feumsv \\ISA\Mspclnt\MS_FWC.msi. After reading the last line, I'm not sure if forcing the software to re-install via policy will do the change. ________________________________ From: Ara [mailto:ara@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, March 01, 2005 01:54 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: RE: [isalist] Download details: ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition SP1 Hello I have to install this tomorrow but I got confusion here. I have created a group policy and that will automatically push install of firewall client. Now if I update to service pack 1, is it going to automatically force of the new client install? If not, what would be the best way to do so?
