Our working configuration for McAfee Virus Scan 4.5.0 on NT4.0 and Win2K
also uses anonymous FTP login and does not use a proxy server. We have one
allow rule for almost all protocols though.

Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it. Last night, I was able
to solve my McAfee update problem by doing the following:
1. Create a rule opening FTP by itself. Before I created a rule called
"Internet Access" enabling all Internet Protocols and for some reason my
ISA server didn't like it. I then created a rule for every protocol by
itself and the ISA server seemed to run better.
2. I then unchecked the box indicating not to use the Proxy Server while
trying to update and this worked fine. To give you some history, my
machines are running Windows 2000 (sp2) with McAfee Virus Scan 4.5.1.
Again, I would like to say thanks for all your help and advice and I hope
I can help in the future.
