Incoming Mail

I have setup ISA Server everything works but incoming mail.netstat shows
it listening on port 25.I have the ISA server2000 book and have followed
it to the letter but still no mail.We are connected to the internet by a
router and 2meg connection internal DNS is forwarded to an external
scource set up as recomended in the book.Should the MX record point to the
internal IP of the mail server or the external card on the ISA server ?.
"Help" been at this on and off for two weeks now getting ******off
rapidly.
