I thought I had asked Tom about it before, but I don't remember the
answer.  In ISA2000, there was an option to "prompt for
username/password" when you required authentication, if it was
unchecked, it wouldn't give you a login prompt.  I don't see a similar
option in ISA2004 though, which would be perfect for that situation.

Just as a follow up. I have disabled fire wall client and it that case
firefox won't work till I change the settings manually in connection
settings for firefox

If I login with a domain account, it won't ask for user information. But
when I login as a machine which is not a domain member, then there is a
popup asking for username password
