RE: ISA not forwarding my DNS requests

My understanding was that ISA truncates the DNS lookup request, causing the
request to fail.  You could use netmon to check packets as they are passed
to verify this.

I have SP1 installed and it did not fix the problem. I have also used
the same fix as you outlined, and it works well. I just wanted to
understand why it was not working.

I had the same problem.  I called MS.  They said it was a known problem
and
that SP1 fixed it.  I heard the SP1 didn't fix the problem, so I
installed
DNS on my ISA server and I have not had the problem since.  My internal
DNS
forwards to ISA DNS which forwards to ISP DNS.
