Most web sites'll give you a dynamic identifier; a very long string of
alphanumerics as either a cookie, a search argument, or both. Trying to
ID by IP address is bad bad bad.

Yes, they are tracking by IP address and on their side our requests are
showing up as one ip address. I am assuming without the translation
needed
to get back to the right request.

Thanks for your answer.

Well, it depends on what they're tracking a "user" by. If they're tying
into the IP address somehow, I could see there might be a problem.
However,
we run CF behind ISA and we haven't had complains like this. I hate to
say
it, but if they're saying their service doesn't work for users behind
firewalls, etc., then they probably need to rewrite their site.

We are trying to use a web based calendar/appt service that is using
cold
fusion. There are approx. 1500 users in my organization. This is
what's
happening:

A user logs in with a username and password and the calendar works fine.
Another user logs in and they are directed to the first users
information.
This happens to every user once the first person has logged in.

The vendor is saying that their software is only seeing one IP address.
I
am using SecureNat. We have several other services that work absolutely
fine when users must login.

Anyone have any ideas?
