ISA was designed and tested with dynamic IPs. Most DynDNS services use SSL for their updates, so you?ll need to create an access rule allowing HTTPS from the ISA (local host) to whatever destination the easyDNS folks want you to hit. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG <http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/> http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ <http://isatools.org/> http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- _____ From: Tony.Afriyie [mailto:Tony.Afriyie@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, October 13, 2005 15:36 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] ISA Server 2004 Configuration With Dynamic IP http://www.ISAserver.org I am in the process of studying for MS Exam 70-350, Installing, Configuring and Administering ISA Server 2004. I have a home network setup. I am currently using dynamic IP address from my ISP. I am also using DynSite for Windows client software to send my dynamic IP address to EasyDNS DNS servers in order for me to have access to my Exchange 2003 Server on my Internal LAN. I am also trying to setup a Web site on my LAN. My question is, can dynamic IP address be configured with DynSite for Windows client software on the ISA server on my network? And if so, how? I want to be able to configure the dynamic IP I receive from my ISP with the DynSite for Windows client software on my ISA Server 2004 so that I can access both my Exchange 2003 Server and my web site without any difficulties from the outside world (Outside my LAN) . If dynamic IP cannot be setup with ISA server 2004, please let me know. Any link to any information out there will be appreciated very much. Thank you.
