Oh, so you're interesting in knowing that also eh? I had a few
requests already and I just posted that message. So, I'll just reply to
all of you here.

If you want to log into a whole bunch of workstations (via RDP
in case you didn't realize it) at once, use these steps.

        - Create a folder to hold all the files

        - Open up the Remote Desktop Connection to the menu,
expand the Options menu.

        - Enter your username, password, domain, and put a
check mark on "Save my password".

        - Click on "Save As", browse to the folder you just
created, and save the file with the name X.rdp.

        - Now create a batch file in that folder with the
content of " mstsc X.rdp /v:HOSTNAME"

        - Repeat the above step for each computer you want to
connect to, changing the HOSTNAME part to the hostname of each computer.

        - Now you'll have a collection of batch files, one for
each computer. Select all of them and hit Enter.

Windows will bark at you for trying to open that many files at
once, but I've had up to 70 of these open at one time on a Pentium 4
with 1GB of memory with hardly any noticeable slowdown. You might want
to turn Taskbar Grouping off so you can switch between desktops easier.

Actually, my batch files are a bit more complex, they check to
see if the computer is on the network first, and if not they attempt a
remote wakeup and then wait for it to show up on the network, otherwise
they're the same.

        Does that help?

        Hey Dan,

No need to take it off list. Good tips are always welcome here.

If you're using XP, there is an easy way to log into all
workstations at once. We're in the same predicament, with kids that
is... You can contact me off-list if you want to exchange tips.

                Hi Thomas

Rebooting the machine twice certainly did the trick for
us - the last thing we wanted to do was logon 300 workstations to get it
to go away, and we certainly couldn't rely on students (11 to 18) to not
deselect 'use firewall client'!

Thanks for the book, by the way, it's been a lifesaver
for me - this is my first ISA Server, the last time it was Proxy 2.0.
