When you say that the connection gets closed, does that mean that you opened
the connection manually before?

You'll have to define the DOD connection in the system (this is what you
have already done), but you don't need (and for security reasons I wouldn't
recommend) username/password there. Just define the connection (tel. number,
protocols) and leave it alone. You might, however want to verify that the
connection is working.

Secondly you'll have to make sure that in ISA there is a rule configured
under 'Routing' to request content directly using RAS. This would normally
be the standard rule, if you don't use upstream servers or other, more
complex configs. Third, under RAS connections, you define an entry with any
name, choose the DOD connection you made and configure user name and
password to use with this connection. This is why you don't need
user/password in network connections.

This is all that is requiered, ISA should dial out automatically then. This
is not an issue with the clients on the first sight.

Sorry if I don't use the exact names for the various components, I only have
the german versions running, so it's a bit difficult to guess what they are
called in english.
