Hi Ian, That's interesting, because I was never able to solve the problem completely with ISA Server 2000. The only solution was to remove all auth requirements on the upstream. At least Firewall chaining worked back then. :( Tom www.isaserver.org/shinder Tom and Deb Shinder's Configuring ISA Server 2004 http://tinyurl.com/3xqb7 MVP -- ISA Firewalls -----Original Message----- From: Ian Roberts [mailto:ianr@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, November 17, 2004 5:57 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Chaining ISA 2004 to upstream proxy http://www.ISAserver.org ISA 2000 issue resolved by Microsoft article 297080, title: Incomplete HTML Pages and Random Authentication Prompts If ISA Server Is Chained to Upstream Proxy I thought this would not be an issue with isa 2004. The upstream server is ISA 2000 (this shouldn't make a difference should it.) In my access rules I have All authenticated users for using http/https. I have had to substitute all users in there for the time being to prevent the random authentication popups.
